Constant Water Pressure Systems — Woman Holding a Glass of Water in Damascus, OR
Booster Pumps: Used to increase water pressure and/or flow. Booster pumps can be installed off a storage tank with no inlet pressure or on the house line if pressure at the house is low. For more information see Booster Pumps.
Chlorine Injection Pumps: Government regulation requires certain levels of chlorine to be present in some water systems, or you may choose to have one installed for your own health reasons. In some cases well water that tests consistently positive for the presence of bacteria can be corrected with a chlorine injection system. These pumps can be adjusted to inject a specified dose of chlorine or soda ash into the water.
Control Boxes: We stock Franklin and Grundfos control boxes from ½ HP to 5 HP. Control box components such as capacitors and relays are also available. If you have another brand, we can get that for you too.
Cycle Stop Valves: A kind of constant pressure valve that controls the outflow by reducing the gallons per minute pumped at a desired pressure. An example of their usefulness is on an irrigation system. The Cycle Stop Valve keeps the pump from turning on and off during watering. See Constant Pressure Systems for more information.
Filters: There are many different kinds of filter cartridges and bag filters that are mainly used for sifting out sediment ranging from 1 micron (finest pores blocking more sediment) to 30 micron (larger pores blocking only larger pieces). We also sell filter wrenches and other parts. See Water Treatment/Filtration for more information.
Flow Meters: Can be installed at the well head or on individual house lines to tell you how much water is being used. They are especially useful on shared well systems and community systems when you need to divide water use costs. Flow meters are included in all Water Right water conditioning units.
Flow Restrictor: Dole Valves reduce the outflow to prevent a pump from drawing too much water so quickly that the well does not replenish the supply before the pump pumps it dry. If a pump is trying to pull water that is not there, it can be seriously damaged. We can perform a flow test on your well and pump to see if a dole valve is right for you.
Frost Proof Hydrants: Are valves that can be installed in place of the hose bibs that you would normally have to shut down and drain to prevent freezing and cracking. They allow water use from that location through winter freezing months. The hydrant prevents freezing and cracking by allowing the water to drain from the stand pipe. The handle must be closed and all hoses removed to allow the water to drain.
Hand Pumps: Not only a beautiful lawn ornament, they are necessary when or where electricity in unavailable. Hand pumps are frequently used at campgrounds and picnic areas. They can be installed on some wells that also have a submersible pump. We can even plumb the line so the water that has been pumped by hand comes out of your faucets. See Hand Pumps for more information.
Irrigation Pumps: Looking to water your landscape? Or hundreds of acres? We can get a pump for that. See Irrigation Pumps for more information.
Pipe and fittings: Galvanized, schedule 40 PVC, schedule 80 PVC, deep set schedule 120 PVC, EPVC, some brass, copper, and steel also in various sizes ranging from ½” to 4”.
Pitless Adaptors: Used to protect the water pipe from freezing. These adaptors installed in the well casing 18-24 inches below ground level. We recommend installing a pitless adaptor on all well pump systems.
Pressure Gauge: Available for purchase at our shop. If your pressure gauge is reading 0, and you have water, it needs to be replaced.
Pressure Switch: The purpose of the pressure switch is to tell the pump when to turn on and off. Pressure switches are typically set to turn the pump on at 40 PSI and off at 60 PSI; however, higher or lower pressure settings are possible. Please do not attempt to adjust the pressure switch without consulting a service technician.
Pressure Tanks: Or bladder tanks are generally sold in the following sizes; 81 gallon, 85 gallon, and 119 gallon. Smaller tanks can be used on constant pressure systems. Larger tanks are available for commercial purposes. Multiple tanks can be installed if you desire more water between pump cycles on a conventional system. See Pressure Tanks for more information.
Storage Tanks: Storage tank systems can be a good and more economical solution to low yield wells. We recommend above ground varieties. Storage tanks of various sizes can be purchased, delivered, and installed. The size necessary will depend on the flow rate and recovery rate of your well and how much water is needed. See Storage Tanks for more information.
Sump pumps: Are nice to have on hand if you have a frequent flooding issue. Also used for dewatering.
Valves: Check valves prevent backflow into the well. We recommend that a check valve is installed approximately 20 feet above the pump and every 200 feet thereafter. Gate valves, ball valves, and hose bibs allow water to flow when opened.
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs): A kind of constant pressure system that allow the pump to work on demand. See Constant Pressure Systems for more information.
Water Conditioning: sanitizer, softener, iron filtration, acid neutralizer, reverse osmosis are a some of the units that we install. We test your raw water for various minerals and create a system that works well with your water and satisfies your needs. We sell the media and gravel to bed your unit. See Water Treatment/ Filtration for more information.
Well Caps: Are necessary to prevent contaminants from entering the well.
Well pumps: jet, submersible, turbine; whatever your preference or need. We sell, service, and install. See Well Pumps for more information.
Wire: We install flat double jacketed wire down the well. We also carry twisted and tracer wire for use where applicable.
